What is the Chrome extension?

The Eternal Reminder Chrome Extension is a small add-on for your web browser that makes it easier to create reminders while using FamilySearch.

A Chrome extension is a simple tool that adds extra features to the Google Chrome browser. In this case, the Eternal Reminder extension lets you connect directly to eternalreminder.org without leaving the FamilySearch website.

Once installed, you’ll see an Eternal Reminder button at the top of your browser. When you are viewing an ancestor in FamilySearch, you can click the button, enter their FamilySearch ID, and create a reminder instantly. It works exactly like the website version and will send you an email on your ancestor’s 110th birthday.
