What are Eternal Reminder's "Additional Features"?

Additional Features are optional upgrades that give you a few extra tools and conveniences while using Eternal Reminder. They are available to anyone who supports the project, but donations are not required. Everyone is welcome to enable these features, even if they are unable to contribute financially right now.


What you get with Additional Features

  1. The ability to create reminders up to 10 years in advance (instead of the standard 5 years).
  2. “Add to Eternal Reminder” links directly inside FamilySearch when using the Chrome extension.

These features are designed to make it easier and faster to add reminders while continuing to support the mission of helping others remember their ancestors.


How to enable Additional Features

  1. Sign in to your account at eternalreminder.org.
  2. Visit the donation page at eternalreminder.org/donate.php.
  3. Make a donation of any amount, or choose "I'd contribute if I could" to enable the features without donating.
  4. Once enabled, your account will have access to the additional tools right away. You may need to sign out of FamilySearch and sign back in to see the "Add to Eternal Reminder" links

About donations

Donations are appreciated but never required. They are used to cover small monthly maintenance costs and to help spread the word about Eternal Reminder through outreach and printed materials.

Eternal Reminder is a volunteer-run project and is not a registered non-profit organization. Donations are generally not tax deductible (check with your accountant for specific guidance).

Whether or not you donate, you are welcome to use all of the features and help others remember their ancestors.
