I made a donation but Additional Features aren't active

Sometimes after making a donation, your Additional Features may not show up right away. This usually happens because the donation couldn’t be matched to your Eternal Reminder account.


Common reasons this happens

  1. You weren’t logged into Eternal Reminder when you made the donation.
  2. The email used for your donation payment is different from the email connected to your FamilySearch account.
  3. You have multiple FamilySearch accounts that share the same email address.

When this happens, the system doesn’t know which account to apply the features to.


How to fix it

  1. Make sure you are logged into the correct Eternal Reminder account (the one connected to your FamilySearch account).
  2. Once logged in, click the “I’d contribute if I could” button on the donation page. This will attempt to enable Additional Features without requiring another donation.
  3. Refresh the page and check if the features are now active.

Still not working?

If you still can’t get Additional Features to activate, send an email to contact@eternalreminder.org. Include the email address you used for both FamilySearch and your donation so we can help connect them.


If you’ve successfully enabled Additional Features but can’t see the “Add to Eternal Reminder” links in FamilySearch:

  1. Make sure the Chrome extension is installed and active.
  2. Log out and back into FamilySearch to refresh your session.

After that, the links should appear on ancestor profiles between 100 and 110 years old.
